What a Saturday looks like

So what am I walking into?

    Arrive and say hi

    Someone will meet you at the door. Grab some brunch, meet a few people, and find a seat. Nobody expects you to know anyone.

    Brunch together

    We start with a meal, because that's important. People bring a dish if they want to, but it's optional. There's always plenty.

    Read and talk about the passage

    We read a short passage and talk through a few simple questions together. Everyone is invited to jump in, and there are no wrong answers. Kids head off to their own activity on the same theme.

    Hang out, or head home

    Stick around, help clean up, or head home whenever you need to. There's no closing pitch and no sign-up sheet.

I had a bad experience with church. How is this different?

You're not the only one here who has been there, and we're sorry it happened. There's no stage, no performance, and nobody keeping score. It's a meal in someone's living room and an honest conversation where questions and doubts are welcome. Come once and see.

I'm not sure I believe any of this. Can I still come?

Yes. House to House is for people at every point in their spiritual journey. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, have been hurt by religion, or have been following Jesus for years, you're welcome here. We believe real community happens when people can be honest about where they are.

What should I bring?

Just yourself. A brunch dish to share is always appreciated, but it's optional. No Bible needed. We'll have copies, or you can read along on your phone.

Can I bring my kids?

Absolutely! Kids are an important part of our community. We have rotating kids leaders who create age-appropriate activities related to the same themes adults are discussing. We also incorporate outdoor time when possible and design everything to be family-friendly.

Is this a church?

Yes, a small one that meets in homes instead of a building, and part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In the Bible, church isn't a place but a group of people in relationship with one another and with God.

Why Saturday?

For us Saturday is the Sabbath, a weekly day to rest and slow down. Brunch with friends is a good way to start it.

Do I have to come every week?

No. We understand that life is busy and messy. Come when you can. What matters most is showing up as yourself when you're there, not perfect attendance. We want to meet you where you are, not add pressure to your life.
